July Highlight > Empowering "The Least Of These" | Impact Asia

Updated: Sep 11, 2021

‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ Matt 25:40

Note: Picture shows Missions Impact volunteers take turns to teach basic English to refugee-students every week.

Hasan is a refugee among some 200,000 Rohingya in Malaysia. His wife was recently arrested and he lost his temporary job. Though marginalized, Hasan never gave up the hope for a better life and future.

Some time ago, Hasan signed up for the El Shaddai Online Literacy Program (EOLP) to upgrade his English proficiency skill. After 16 weeks, Hasan can now read and write basic English. He enjoyed the Bible stories we shared and asked us to pray for him.

Refugees like Hasan are empowered because our members commit to teach English in the EOLP. To-date we have 12 volunteers. We need 12 more because beyond the Rohingya, other groups such as the Syrians, Somalis and Iranians hope to enroll in the EOLP. Alas workers are few! Will you step in to make a difference?

God has opened doors to Unreached People Groups (UPG) to us. Let us say YES to Him!
