Girl M’s father went into depression after losing his job during the COVID pandemic. He took drugs which ended with a fight with his eldest son that eventually caused his death. The father was arrested and jailed for manslaughter, leaving her mother to fend for her family of five. Despaired and hopeless, her mother related her story to Sophia and our team with tears rolling down her cheeks. 

 

Our hearts melted when we heard her predicament and shared our testimony of God’s grace and love for her. After listening to the testimony, M’s mother entrusted her cares upon Jesus and received Him into her heart. M smiled, nodded and understood our conversation. When we left, she came and hugged Sophia in gratitude for sharing the good news of faith and hope in Christ.
