The Joy of Connection
Inspire Bursary Merit Award started in 2016 to help students fulfil their dreams and encourage lifelong learning. Each year an award ceremony will be conducted with a motivational sharing to inspire these students. Ms Irene Lee, President of Inspire Community Services (ICS) thanked God for the opportunity to connect with them.
In December last year, 8 ICS Bursary Merit Awardees, together with their families and 5 ICS volunteers had a fun and adventurous day at Universal Studios Singapore. We could sense their excitement and felt their joy as they took the rides.
We felt encouraged by the friendships built during the short time spent together. A parent of one of the awardees was hesitant to apply for the EAGLES award for her child because she felt that her child may not be qualified. Applicants for this award have to demonstrate certain competencies and leadership skills. However, our ICS volunteer motivated the parent to believe in her child and apply it. Before the event ended, the parent agreed to do so. There was a shift in her mindset.
Another parent shared that she appreciated the opportunity and time spent together with the ICS volunteers, “We enjoyed the day. My kids are happy to have known all of you. Hope to see you soon again.”
What joy it was for us when we met these families again at the Christmas Carnival Party at Whampoa Community Centre on December 22! Instantly, they looked out for our familiar faces and mingled with us to celebrate Christmas together.

What is “Missions Faith Promise”?
Missions Faith Promise is a commitment you make with God to give financially to support the local and overseas missions workers and ministries of Faith Assembly. You're making this commitment because you want to fulfil the Great Commission. This commitment is an act of faith because you're trusting God to supply you to bless Singapore and the nations beyond.
Missions Faith Promise is renewed every 6 months during the Missions Impact Services in January and July.
The church admin does not contact you to give your missions offering. You're encouraged to honor God in the commitment made. You'll receive a receipt of acknowledgement within 14 days from our accounts officer via email or letterbox.​
